Research on molecular systematics of beloniform fishes (’01-’03). Mahmood is currently an ICID (International Centre for Infectious Diseases) postdoctoral fellow at the National Laboratory for Zoonotics and Special Pathogens, Canadian Science Centre for Human and Animal Health, National Microbiology Laboratory, Winnipeg. His project is “Host Preference, Molecular Identification, and Phylogenetic Relationships of Medically Important Mosquitoes in Canada”. Mahmood is also a Research Associate at the Department of Microbiology, University of Manitoba.
