July 3, 2020 Our paper on use of Lie algebras in measurement of quantum observables in quantum computing appeared in arXiv. The new approach reduces the number of measurements needed in the VQE method to estimate expectation value of energy.

May 14, 2020 Robert receives the F.E. Beamish Prize in Physical Chemistry, Chemistry Department, UofT. Congrats Robert!

May 2, 2020 Thomson receives the University of Toronto Excellence Award. Congrats Thomson!

April 16, 2020 Robert receives the NSERC Graduate Scholarship-Doctoral (CGS D). Congrats Robert!

February 25, 2020 Thomson receives Summer Scholarship for Undergraduate Students from CQIQC. Congrats Thomson!

December 5, 2019 Our paper on improving the measurement procedure in quantum computing with VQE has been published in JCTC. (arXiv version) Congrats Thomson, Rob, and Vlad!
