- Priority goes to students whose programs require language courses.
- To enrol in any LGGA- and LGGB-level course for the first time only, a placement test and survey are required: https://www.utsc.utoronto.ca/webapps/chineseplacement/
- No test is required for LGGC-level courses.
- The Chinese placement test includes a questionnaire. Each and every survey question must be answered. If a question is not applicable, indicate N/A.
- If you encounter any technical problem, describe it to a technician (NOT to any instructor, please!) by clicking the hyperlinked Technical Support at the bottom right of the home webpage.
- Even if you are on the Waitlist, please still complete the placement test/survey.
- If you have an INT (interim) status and ignore the Chinese placement test/survey, your name may be removed from the INT class list in order to make space for another waitlisted student.
- If you want to enrol in an LGGC-level course but have not yet earned 4.0 credits, you cannot do it on ACORN by yourself. A course instructor may submit your name for approval if a spot is still available during the first two weeks of the semester. You may go to class and complete the course Questionnaire during the first two weeks. First come, first served.
Note: Students are not permitted to take courses in a language in the wrong sequence, for example taking a lower-level course after having taken a higher-level one.
