The Doris McCarthy Gallery is a University of Toronto affiliated, not-for-profit, public art gallery dedicated to the presentation of leading contemporary art works. The Doris McCarthy Gallery has the responsibility to promote, enhance and support the mission of the University to the fullest possible extent and to reflect the widest expression of the University's activities in appropriate academic areas. Exhibitions should appeal to the many diverse communities served by the University.
Exhibitions are organized by the gallery's curator and are programmed one to two years in advance of the actual exhibition. Submissions to DMG should be submitted for the sole purpose of informing the curator of your work - submissions should not be directed toward a specific exhibition proposal.
Submissions should include the following:
2. 10 - 20 slides or images on disc. Time-based work in VHS or DVD format. Please include descriptions.
3. Images list describing dimensions of work, media, title and year of production.
4. Artist's statement
5. Self-addressed stamped envelope (S.A.S.E.)
Additional support material may be included.
Please address submissions to Ann MacDonald, Director/Curator, Doris McCarthy Gallery.
