The Doris McCarthy Gallery’s Collection and public exhibition and collection files are available to researchers. The Collection includes over 1,600 contemporary artworks by Canadian and international artists, as well as 3 archival collections, which include photographs, correspondence, slides, books, and exhibition documentation. The DMG has hosted over 40 temporary exhibitions to date.

The Cold City Gallery Archive (1986 – 1999)
The Gallery at the University of Toronto Scarborough Archives (1970 – 2003)
Materials in the collection are available to researchers by prior appointment only, and may be subject to some restrictions, as per the DMG’s Collections Use Policy (2012).
Digital images and photocopies may be made available to researchers, as per the DMG’s Reproduction of Materials Policy (2013).
The DMG’s database and finding aids are not currently available online, but electronic versions may be accessed on site.
