Speakers Series

David Onley, Guest Lecturer and Distinguished Visitor, Political Science, UTSC, leads our Fall 2019 line-up with Rethinking Normalcy to Achieve Equality for Disabled Persons.  Despite decades of diligent advocacy, despite the inclusion of accessibility as a protected provision under the Charter and the passage of sweeping accessibility laws both provincial and federal, persons with disabilities still remain amongst our most marginalized citizens. Join David Onley as he discusses research undertaken to create POLD59 - The Politics of Disability, his course here at UTSC.

Building on our history of community engagement, Great Explorations offers an intellectually enriching experience that explores critical issues in the world today.

Great Explorations, previously the Snider Lecture Series, welcomes you to join us and hear from some of the campus' most renowned thinkers. The Snider Fund was established in memory of Fletcher C. Snider, a distinguished lawyer and University of Toronto graduate. Since 1975, the fund has supported public lectures by individuals whose work is of general cultural and intellectual significance and is relevant to a broad audience. The Snider Fund has generously supported the Great Explorations Series at U of T Scarborough since 2017.
