Biography

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for financial management and providing guidance of financial policies and processes to Doris McCarthy Gallery, U of T Scarborough Access Programs, Toronto Initiative for Diversity and Excellence (TIDE), Vice-Principal Academic & Dean's (VP Dean) Trust funds, and OVPD Operating 

  • Manage Tenure Stream Faculty Start-up Funding 

  • Administer funding for Post Doc Award Programs at U of T Scarborough including: UTSC Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, UTSC Inclusive Excellence Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, Provost's Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, and Inclusive Excellence, Postdoctoral Fellow Program in the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (SoTL) 

  • Provide financial support to Vice-Dean Initiatives including: Jackman Humanities Scholars-in-Residence, Program, Campus Teaching Farm, and others 

  • Assist with space inventory analysis for VP Dean’s Portfolio 

As the Senior Financial Officer in the Office of the Vice-Principal Academic & Dean. Junyi Dai will be managing the Office of the VP Academic & Dean’s operating account, providing financial support to various units within the decanal portfolio, and administering a wide variety of financial projects led by the Office.

Junyi Dai has many years of experience in accounting and financial management positions at University of Toronto Scarborough, including in the Department of Management as a Financial Administrator, and in Financial Services as an Accountant. Prior to her joining U of T Scarborough, Junyi was working as a Business Analyst at the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. Junyi is also an alumnus of U of T Scarborough where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration, Specialist in Management and Accounting degree.
