Biography

An Associate Professor Teaching Stream in the Department of Computer and Mathematical Sciences (CMS) at the University of Toronto Scarborough.  Professor Tafliovich joined CMS in 2010 as a faculty member teaching courses of all levels from an Introduction to Computer Science (ist year) to Advanced Software Engineering (4th year).

In 2002, she received an Hon. BSc from the University of Toronto, completing a Specialist Program in Computer Science and a Major in Mathematics.  Her graduate studies included research focused on the intersection of Quantum Computing and Formal Verification. I received a MSc in 2004 and a PhD in 2010, both in Computer Science from the University of Toronto.  Her current research involves in a number of short- and long-term research projects, both in Computer Science Education and Software Engineering Education, and in Computer Science.; and includes supervising between one and three undergraduate research or development course projects per term. Professor Tafliovich was recently honoured with a U of T Scarborough Faculty Teaching Award.  For more information - Anya Tafliovich
