Overview
The ISC Language Sharing Sessions (LSS) provides all students at UTSC an opportunity to teach peers their language, while also learning a new language in the process.
How the Program Works
LSS is for all students at UTSC who are interested in studying a language or have a general interest in language. There will be weekly sessions virtually/online during the Fall 2022 (September to December) & Winter 2023 (January – April).

By registering you will be placed in two groups: one for language sharing and one for language learning. Each weekly session is 1 hour long. A student participant will use the first half of the session to share/teach their language, whereas the second half of the session will be focused on language learning/practice.
There will be facilitators at each session with conversation topics, games and activities to generate discussion!
Important Dates
- August 29, 2022 – Registration opens for students to register for LSS
- September 14, 2022 – Information session for students who wish to learn more about LSS (12 PM- 1 PM)
- September 21, 2022 – Deadline to register for Fall 2022 term
- Week of September 26, 2021- Sessions for LSS begin
For Fall 2022, the Language Sharing Sessions will take place on:
- Tuesdays from 11 AM - 12 PM Eastern Time starting week of September 26
- Wednesdays from 12 PM - 1 PM Eastern Time starting week of September 26
