Conversational English

Practice conversational English, connect with peers, and reflect on your academic, social, and personal transition to university and Canadian life.

TIPS Conversation Community Round tables

TIPS Conversation Community Roundtables are monthly meetings hosted by TIPS Leaders and are exclusive to mentees in the Transition & Intercultural Peer Support (TIPS) program.

 1-1 Conversational English Support

Throughout the academic year, TIPS Leaders will host regular office hours during which any student can drop by to practice their conversational English. These 1-1 sessions are flexible to individual needs, and will equip participants with knowledge of Canadian and North American culture, as well as popular slang and idioms used in our daily dialect.

To sign up for 1 on 1 sessions:

Log into CLN and select the “Appointments” tab on the left

Select “Book UTSC Peer Appointment”

Scroll down and click “Peer - ISC - Conversation Community (C2) one-on-one” (I’m working on updating this part and will give to the updates ASAP)

Here, you will see a calendar of our available appointments. Select the time and date that works best for you.
