Ontario Shores x The Hub Hackathon for Mental Health & Innovation

Challenge Statement: How might we improve access to internal and community resources and our referral process.

Having a centralized database of internal and external resources would allow staff to provide optimal care for their patients. This would include housing options, access to outside services (Speech Language Pathologists) as well as internal services that could guide referrals and pull in individuals with unique skillsets (ex. language interpreter, yoga instructor) where required. Currently our intake team has an extensive list of resources compiled for patients and families phoning in for support, it would be helpful to have a more user-friendly navigation of resources.

Prizes:

  • 1st Place Prize of $ 5,000 ($ 1,000 per individual)
  • 2nd Place Price of $ 2,500 ($ 500 per individual)
