Partnering with the CVCA (Canada's Venture Capital & Private Equity Association), “Breaking into Bay Street” will be held on November 22st, 5:30-8:30 pm. The event will be split up into 3 components; a Workshop, an interactive activity, and finally a networking/Q&A session.
The workshop will cover topics such as an overview of a Private Equity firm, the job of an Investment Associate and an Intern Analyst and steps a junior student should take to enter the industry. The interactive activity will be constructing a simple LBO model in Excel, followed by an analysis of returns and multiples. The session will end with an open Q&A. Dinner will be provided!
The goal of this event would be to increase the awareness of Private Equity amongst UTSC students with the partnership of CVCA, provide a pathway for students to start their journeys into Private Equity and Venture Capital.
