The Farmers' Market at UTSC brings local farmers, producers and artisans to our campus and community. Check out the variety of vendors selling fresh fruits and vegetables, honey and jams, meats and eggs, kettle corn, baked goods, and much more!
UTSC Famer’s Market operates outdoors, weekly from Victoria Day to Thanksgiving, and indoors, bi-weekly during the winter.
Upcoming markets will be happening every Wednesday at 1265 Military Trail on May 30th until October 3rd from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM
There are a variety of themed workshops hosted by the Sustainability Office throughout the indoor and outdoor markets, some include: How to grow plants; companion planting; food demos and samples; Apiary tours and pollination workshops, to name a few.
The Farmer’s Market allows an opportunity for the community to become involved in showcasing the exceptional produce, services and other goods allocated. This engagement allows students on campus to become more aware of the different local initiatives that are available within the community. Moreover, this service mainly reflects the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #8 (decent work and economic growth), #11 (sustainable cities and communities), and #12 (responsible consumption and production).
