What is University Life Like in January?

Welcome back! The campus is buzzing again and another set of exams are behind us.

Over the holidays many students enjoy quality time with family and friends, and some much needed time to relax and recharge before the next semester.

The New Year brings so many possibilities – it’s a fresh start, a new beginning and an opportunity to make adjustments. Many of us have New Year’s Resolutions to make goals or commitments in our personal and academic lives. Looking ahead is important but reflecting on your accomplishments is also important for your success.

For upper year students thinking about the program options or first year students transitioning to a new set of courses, Academic Advising & Career Centre has resources available to help you find the right path and maximize your potential. Whether you have questions about academic or career options, we are here to help. In fact, there’s a Summer & Full-time Job Fair later on this month where you can learn more about job opportunities.

At the start of a new year, health and wellbeing is on the minds of many people. Maybe you indulged in more than your fair share of chocolate over the break or perhaps this is the year you make being more physically active a priority. The good news is this campus offers world-class facilities that are rare for a university.

At the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre, Athletics & Recreation is offering a free trial week from January 9-13 for an opportunity to put fitness first. And, more good news for your health is the Wellness Fair happening on January 19th in the Meeting Place. You can explore interactive displays on healthy living and learn more about the resources on campus to support your health and wellbeing.

Finding balance in your academic and campus life is all part of the student experience. It’s important to stay healthy and resilient for your success. The Office of Student Affairs & Services is here to support you. Below you will find a list of our departments. You can also stay connected to us with the new UTSC Student Experience App.
