Magic Show and Workshop

BenTastic is a charismatic magician that has entertained multitudes of children all over the world. We are fortunate to have him back this summer to facilitate virtual magic shows combined with workshops to teach your children awe-inspiring tricks!

Let's Talk Science

An award-winning, national organization, Let’s Talk Science has provided engaging, evidence-based STEM programs to the community for more than 25 years! Let’s Talk Science is committed to developing youth who are creative critical thinkers prepared to participate and thrive in a rapidly changing world.  Through STEM education programs, youth develop a curiosity and genuine interest in these essential disciplines, which enable them to learn to take risks and anticipate complex problems that require innovative solutions.








Join beloved magician BenTastic as you embark on a virtual magic journey to become an official magician. Each virtual session will begin with a mini magic show followed by an interactive step by step magic workshop where you will learn some amazing magic tricks that will have anyone fooled. You will learn some card tricks, mind-reading skills, and much more. 

Week 3: July 19-July 23 - Session 1: 5-8’s (9am–10:15am) & Session 2: 9-12’s (10:30am-12:00pm)
Week 4: July 26-July 30 - Session 1: 5-8’s (9am–10:15am) & Session 2: 9-12’s (10:30am-12:00pm)
*Full engagement in the virtual program will require that children from both age groups (5-8’s and 9-12’s) have the following list of household items prepared at the start of every class.
  • 1 regular deck of cards including the box (cards will be drawn on and cut)
  • 1 coin
  • 1 sharpie/black marker
  • 1 glue stick
  • 1 child-safe scissors
  • 2 pieces of paper or cloth napkin
  • 2 regular size paper clips
  • 2 elastic bands
  • Lipstick or face paint (any colour – very small amount required)

Let's Talk Science provides a wide variety of meaningful virtual workshops in science, technology, engineering and mathematics led by student volunteers that aid youth in developing positive attitudes toward STEM disciplines while building critical skills and gaining career awareness.


Kitchen Science:  Program Theme Week of July 26-30

Do you know why your food freezes when placed in a freezer, or how liquids turn into gases when heated?  During this week of camp, explore the curious world of chemistry, and learn about the soil in our Earth through fun science experiments and activities using materials you can find in your kitchen!

Magnet Madness

Students experiment with magnets to discover their unique properties of attraction, repulsion and polarity.

Grades K to 3

The Bone Zone

Students discover how our skeletal system provides protection, support and movement through challenges, demonstrations and role-playing activities. Students make a model hand and test it for strength and stability.

Grades 3 to 5

Fight or Flight: The Science of Stress

Students learn how the body reacts to stressful situations by looking at the cardiovascular system, nervous system and endocrine system.
