Welcome to Psychology at UTSC! We are a vibrant department of research and teaching stream faculty and dedicated and professional staff. Our faculty are engaged in cutting edge research that spans behavioural, clinical, cognitive, developmental, and social psychology and neuroscience. We are proud of our excellence in teaching and pedagogical innovation.
We offer a dynamic graduate training environment through the Graduate Department in Psychological Clinical Science housed at UTSC, and through active participation in the Tri-campus Graduate Department of Psychology which provides world-class training in experimental psychology. We are also home to a growing community of postdoctoral fellows and visiting scientists.
We are deeply committed to undergraduate teaching through the administration of: specialist and major programs in mental health studies; specialist, major, and minor programs in experimental psychology; and specialist and major programs in neuroscience. In all three of our specialist programs we also offer a joint co-op program. Our undergraduate student population is diverse, talented, and deeply engaged in the life of the department and campus.
Our department has undergone an extraordinary period of growth over the past decade, and we continue to grow. We are in a period of exciting opportunity, supported by UTSC’s recent strategic plan for “Inspiring Inclusive Excellence”.
