Meet the Directors for 2018

Dear Campers and Teens,

We are super excited to welcome you all to the 2018 edition of Camp U of T Scarborough!

Summer is almost here! The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and the clock is ticking towards another amazing eight weeks at camp. We are both eager to see familiar faces, and can’t wait to meet all of you who are new to camp this year. The 2018 team has been working hard to deliver incredible programming that you can all enjoy and learn from – this is going to be a    summer for the books!

This year, we have a great assortment of returning and new staff, with familiar faces including Bolt, Bonhomme, Lyric, Ozzy, and Umbro. They have all been working hard to plan fun games and activities for you to enjoy. Your favourite programs are all back — Recreation, Tennis, Arts & Crafts, Computers, Dance-Fit, Drama, Fine Arts, and Kid’s Science. We are also overjoyed to announce an extra-special program option — our French Camp in the afternoons, where campers with French language experience have the opportunity to expand their knowledge in a variety of fun and educational activities. Finally, we can’t wait for more rounds of Capture-the-Flag, Squirt, Ninja, Predator and Prey, as well as returning camp classics such as Games Week, Friday Special Events, the Talent Show and Pudding Dunk!

Our 2-week Leaders-in-Training (LIT) Certificate Program for teens 13-16 years of age is strong as ever this summer; we are so excited to see those that are ready to develop the skills needed to become amazing leaders. Youth that participate in these programs will engage in a variety of skill-building workshops, have the opportunity to job shadow with Camp Counsellors, learn to build their own cover letter and resume and put their leadership abilities to the test by occasionally leading a program or special event for campers aged 6-12.  During each two week program, teens will enjoy time at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre pool, overnight camping at the       Toronto Zoo, conquer rock-climbing at Joe Rockhead’s and practice their equestrian skills at Ajax Riding Academy.

We look forward to building incredible new memories this summer at Camp U of T Scarborough!

Enjoy the last few weeks of school, and see you soon,
