The University of Toronto flag will fly at half-mast tomorrow, Wednesday, November 13th, in memory of Professor Emerita Marilyn Smith. Professor Smith enjoyed a long career at UTSC, then Scarborough College, as an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology, from 1966, until her retirement in 2004. Her research was in the area of memory, from the everyday to eyewitness accounts. In the 1980’s Professor Smith designed a Psychology and the Lawcourse which in part explored how memory influences aspects of the legal process.
