In observance of the one year anniversary of the Ukrainian Airlines Flight 752 tragedy, on Friday, January 8, 2021, all flags on the three campuses will be lowered to half-mast. A recent federal order has proclaimed January 8th as the National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Air Disasters, to be observed annually on this date. More information can be found here.
U of T Student Life is hosting a virtual memorial for the victims of Flight PS752 on Sunday, January 10th, 2021. The memorial is a chance to join together and honour the memories of lives lost including students from the U of T community:

The event will include performances and videos created by friends and families for each victim, and words from Micah Stickel, Vice-Provost Students and Dr. Rahim Rezaei from the Centre for Global Engineering at the University of Toronto.
