    Overview

WebOption is an academic support service offered by the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at the University of Toronto Scarborough. Since 2009 WebOption has been providing students with a flexible and accessible means of pursuing academic excellence. Using WebOption to record lectures provides students with an additional learning resource. It is a useful tool for students needing AccessAbility services, or more flexibility.

    Project Objectives

The new solution will improve student experience by providing a newer and more integrated platform for students to watch WebOption lectures.

    Overview

UTSC has an average enrolment of 15,000 students and frequently seeks assistance and service from the Office of the Registrar. Currently, students are queuing for services but are faced with long wait times during peak seasons.

    Project Objectives:

    Overview

UTSC has over 600 open access lab computers with a variety of specialized software installed on them. It was desirable to manage software on a fleet of computer labs on premise where it can be easily controlled. However, this style of lab access also required students to be on premise to access specialized software for their courses. It is difficult to provide resources to instructors and students remotely in our current environment because it is not flexible or scalable enough to support online courses.

    Project Objectives

A technology that enables IITS to virtualize applications desktops, that allows remote access to specialized software. The solution must also leverage and support all different types of student devices.

    Overview

The vast majority of electronic signatures are done on ad-hoc basis, with a mixed use of ink signatures being scanned to AdobeSign using eToken credentials for staff who have the authorization. We have identified a need to review the options available and are exploring improvement and more streamlined alternatives.

    Project Objectives

A legal way to get consent or approval on electronic documents or forms. To modernize the workflows with convenience, security and faster turnaround. It can replace a handwritten signature in virtually any process.

    Overview

UTSC is seeking a technology-based solution for recording assets that can integrate with existing procurement processes.

    Project Objectives

The goal is to make recording assets easier, improve the quality and usefulness of the asset records, and to improve planning and budgeting.

    Overview

The Office of the registrar eService is an in-house application, containing several modules serving students, departmental admins and Registrar’s Office. Currently students availing these services have prolonged wait times and less insight to the process.

    Project Objectives

Improving and streamlining the business processes to help Students, Faculty and Staff. Promote sharing of information between units within the department. Integration with other UofT system to both push and pull data. Real time access to information Better Student Experience.

    Overview

The Arts and Science Co-op Office converts employer leads into job postings for students through communication and predictive modelling. The current inability to follow-up with leads and nurture them with relevant and timely messaging is resulting in lost opportunity.

    Project Objectives

The department is looking to optimize the current process and leverage an automated solution that will replace the voluminous redundant work of the team and help Manage leads efficiently with targeted email campaigns, easy communication and improved follow-up.
