Ali Awarded Fellowship - Sep 2021

Fourth year philosophy student and APS executive, Syed Faateh Ali has been awarded a research fellowship at the Centre for Ethics for the 2021-22 academic year.

This highly competitive fellowship is awarded to outstanding senior undergraduate students at the University of Toronto with research interests that align with the C4E’s mission as an interdisciplinary centre aimed at advancing research and teaching in the field of ethics. 

As a fellow, Ali will be working under the supervision of Markus Dubber, Professor at the Faculty of Law and Director of the Centre for Ethics to examine "the insidious and harmful relationship between pleasure and contemporary forms of 'ideology', and how ethics and aesthetics can play a significant role in untangling this mess". Ali will also be responsible for leading some of the Centre's activities, including hosting events and possibly some podcasts too. 

Furthermore, Ali's has been selected to present his research at Victoria University in April 2022. Please join the department in congratulating Ali for his hard work and these recent successes!
