Parking Services will send a renewal reminder email in early April for the following year.  If there are no changes to your parking permit arrangement, then no action is required and your prox card will be automatically reactivated for the year. A permit/hangtag will be sent to you via internal mail if applicable. If you wish to change your parking permit arrangement, a deadline for a response will be indicated in the reminder email.

Cancelling a Permit

If you no longer require parking at the University of Toronto Scarborough, or go on any type of leave (such as sabbatical, parental or medical leave), it is your responsibility to notify Parking Services by email to cancel your payroll deductions.

Permits cancelled before the 5th day of the month will be cancelled effective that month; permits cancelled after that date will be cancelled effective the following month. Payroll deductions will not be cancelled retroactively. Please notify the Parking Office of your intention to cancel your permit a minimum of one week in advance for detailed instructions.

Effective September 1, 2023, permits must be cancelled for a minimum of 2 months, unless you are going on leave (medical, parental, sabbatical) for a shorter period of time.

Please note: should you cancel your parking permit for which there is a waitlist (e.g. South Lot Parking Permit) for any reason other than a sabbatical, parental or medical leave; in order to obtain a waitlisted permit again in the future, you would need to add your name back onto the Wait List.
