O.N.E. Community - For Black Business Leaders & Professionals

Jamaa Moja Networking Session event poster

On August 18, the Department of Management at the University of Toronto Scarborough, in consultation with Black U of T administrators (The Private Space Group) and O.N.E. Community, invites business leaders and professionals who identify as Black to its inaugural in-person O.N.E. Community event: Jamaa Moja Networking Sesssion.

Jamaa Moja, from the African Swahili language, translates “one family”, which underpins our mission to facilitate continued engagement, unity, and connection among our Department with the broader GTA community and its Black professional network. This follow-up to our virtual session in March aims to increase Black representation and help to create a positive and long-lasting impact at the University for underrepresented diverse professionals.

Join us on August 18 and learn about opportunities to:
  • Become a sessional lecturer at U of T Scarborough
  • Mentor students and identify new talent
  • Engage as a guest speaker
  • Launch community-impact projects through Work-Integrated Learning (WIL)
  • Collaborate in research and teaching initiatives
