The Institutional Planning and Research Office (IPRO) is a cross-departmental unit led by institutional data providers and data analysts focused on supporting UTSC’s data-driven decision-making and service level objectives.
This collaborative initiative connects the campus community with data experts, provides access to routine and customized datasets and visibility on standardized reports, establishes data integration among units on campus, and promotes a culture of data governance.

The IPRO reports to the Vice-Principal, Academic and Dean, as well as to the Chief Administrative Officer and maintains a linkage with the Tri-Campus Institutional Research and Data Governance Office.
As one of the first virtual administrative units at U of T, the IPRO leverages UTSC's collaborative work environment and the expertise of inter-departmental data team members to deliver on our promise of Service Excellence with the support of a Business and Data Administrator who oversees data requests, manages data presented on this website, and provides office operational assistance.
Advisory Group
The IPRO Advisory Group members are stewards of U of T Scarborough’s institutional data, are responsible for the strategic communication and visibility of data, identify individuals responsible for curating institutional data, advise on data access and security, recommend policies and principles governing data access, preservation of data, and the categorization of public vs. restricted data.
