The University of Toronto Scarborough has created a number of research awards to recognize and advance the work of members of the U of T Scarborough community who have highly distinguished research accomplishments and for those who display exceptional research promise.

University of Toronto Scarborough Research Recognition AwardThis award recognizes and encourages the research activities of tenured professorial faculty members within two years post-tenure granted at U of T Scarborough. Nominations are made by Chairs/Directors of U of T Scarborough's academic units. Self-nominations are not accepted. University of Toronto Scarborough Research Excellence Faculty Scholar AwardThis award recognizes an innovative researcher whose accomplishments have made a major impact in their fields. University of Toronto Scarborough Principal's Research AwardThis award recognizes and encourages the research activities and achievements of tenured mid- to late-career professorial faculty members at U of T Scarborough. University of Toronto Scarborough Pre-Tenure Faculty Research AwardsThis award recognizes and encourages the outstanding research activities and achievements of early career faculty at the University of Toronto Scarborough. Up to three awards will be available annually. Nominations will be open to tenure-stream professorial faculty with a primary appointment at UTSC, after their mid-tenure review at UTSC and prior to the notification of their upcoming tenure review. Nominations are made by Chairs/Directors of U of T Scarborough's academic units. Self-nominations are not accepted.
