Description The Inclusive Excellence Service Award recognizes staff members who, as individuals or as a team, have demonstrated consistent commitment to supporting the vision and values of the campus through their individual dedication to duty and the quality of service that they provide to the UTSC community, thereby enabling faculty, staff and/or students to experience an excellent, inclusive, healthy working and learning environment.
Eligibility The Inclusive Excellence Service Award is open to individuals who hold staff-appointed, non-probationary status, with a minimum of one (1) year of service, as well as teams of colleagues at UTSC. We encourage submissions from all units, departments and staff employee groups (USW, CUPE, OPSEU, PM, Confidential, and so on) who make important contributions to the campus every day. A maximum of four awards (i.e., two awards for individuals and two awards for teams) will be offered in this category.
Past award recipients of the Inclusive Excellence Service Award are eligible for nomination again after 4 years.
Selection Criteria Demonstrable record of:
- Commitment to the mission and values of the University through their daily work, activities and/or service to the institution;
- Supporting the advancement of the campus through involvement in initiatives, activities and events which support UTSC’s priorities;
- Actively promoting and demonstrating the University’s core values of equity, diversity and inclusion;
- Acting as a role model or mentor within their department/portfolio;
- Consistently modeling civility and professionalism in the most challenging environments.
