Equity at U of T

At the University of Toronto, we believe that enhancing the diversity of our staff, students and faculty to reflect our local and global community is a source of strength.

Through our equity programs, services, and offices, we are working to remove barriers to employment for people who are usually underrepresented in Canada’s workforce – Aboriginal people, people with disabilities, visible minorities, sexual minorities, and women. Our programs also ensure that employees at the University are treated with justice and fairness.

Acknowledgment of Traditional Land

We wish to acknowledge this land on which the University of Toronto operates. For thousands of years it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca and, most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit River. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
