Appointed staff and faculty at the University of Toronto are invited to bring their children, currently in grades 4 to 7, to join them at work on Bring Our Children to Work Day.
The University of Toronto Bring Our Children to Work Day is based on a program that began a number of years ago in the United States by Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day® – “a program dedicated to helping children explore their future opportunities at work, at home, and in their community.” Many workplaces in Canada, including the University of Toronto, will host events for the children of their staff and faculty.
We have organized the UTSC Bring Our Children to Work Day event in such a way that the children who are participating will be exposed to different facets of the workplace environment at the University. Job shadowing, workplace activities and career-related departmental tours are just a few of the activities the children will participate in.
