The safety of our campus community continues to remain a priority and we will continue to follow public health guidelines to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

You are required to adhere to the following in order to visit campus:

  1. Please refer to our new Hours of Operation.
  2. Access to campus facilities is only available through the Science Wing (main entrance) and the ARC (main entrance).
  3. Individuals wishing to access campus faciliites will be required to sign in at one of these locations using their TCard or smartphone and provide their proof of vaccination status via UCheck. Those unable to provide their vaccination status via UCheck will be asked to show a paper version.
  4. Each time you plan to visit campus, you must complete a self-assessment using UCheck before coming to campus.
  5. Non-medical masks will be required in all indoor spaces.
  6. Physical distancing measures are in place for all non-instructional indoor spaces such as designated eating areas.
  7. Physical distancing and capacity limits do not apply to academic instructional spaces such as lecture halls, labs and study areas.



Library Services - Fall 2021

Current UTSC Library hours of operation are posted on the library website.

Library carrels and computers are available first come, first served. The library also has six individual study rooms, which can be booked via the Intranet

All study spaces are distanced as required by health mandates. Users are required to wear a mask and are expected to follow all instructions on physical distancing and other COVID-19 protocols.

Library users can retrieve items from the shelves independently. Requesting options for items in storage  will be provided. Short term loan collections such as course reserves and tech lending are also available.

The library offers in-person and limited virtual reference and consultation services, including continued access to the virtual Ask Chat service.

The library is undergoing a major renovation project beginning in late summer 2021 and this is expected to continue until 2024. For this duration, the library spaces may not be as quiet and there will be some changes to where students can access services. Additional details and updates will be provided on the  library website and our social media channels (TwitterInstagram and Facebook).

The Makerspace is temporarily closed. Check the Makerspace website for additional information about available equipment, services, and hours of operation.

Events in the winter will be modified to fit health and safety regulations. A list of upcoming library events is provided on the library website.
