Value and Description
The UTSC Housing Support Grant is offered by the Office of the Vice-Principal Academic & Dean to assist with housing costs for eligible graduate students who have dependent children or other exceptional need-based circumstances. Requests must identify issues created by the lack of available family graduate housing on the UTSC Campus that this grant would mitigate.
Variable award amounts will be given based on demonstrated financial need up to a maximum of $8,000.
Eligibility
The eligibility criteria are as follows:
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need and normally have children under the age of 18
- Research stream Master’s and PhD students currently enrolled full-time with the School of Graduate Studies (professional programs are not eligible)
- UTSC-affiliated on ACORN
Selection criteria
The award will be made on the basis of financial need.
Application and procedure
To apply, eligible students must complete the UTSC Housing Support Grant application form, which includes the submission of a financial need assessment form.
The deadline to apply is Feb 8, 2024.
