Value and Description
This fellowship is available to full-time students in the PhD in Environmental Science and MA or PhD in Counselling & Clinical Psychology (Clinical Psychology Field) who must pivot their research plans due to a COVID-19 related disruption. These funds are available to assist with additional costs incurred as a result of pivoting the research (e.g., replacement of equipment or supplies, travel, language classes, etc.) and not normally intended as to support tuition; tuition costs may be addressed through an application to Register with Tuition Exemption on The Basis of Progress Delays due to COVID-19.
Additional Eligibility Criteria
- Research or other learning activities are no longer available to the student (e.g., data collection or access to other necessary information has been significantly impeded due to COVID-19 and/or data have been lost);
- There are insufficient data to defend a thesis/dissertation; and,
- All feasible alternative academic activities have been completed.
Application Process
Complete the UTSC COVID-19 Research Pivot Fund application form and submit it to graduate-awards@utsc.utoronto.ca. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis so there is not a set deadline.
