The University of Toronto Scarborough International Advisory Committee (UTSC-IAC) enhances international and global engagement at the University of Toronto Scarborough in line with Inspiring Inclusive Excellence: A Strategic Vision for the University of Toronto Scarborough (2020-2025), University of Toronto’s Three Priorities and International Strategic Plan (2022-20227). The Committee offers a platform for the UTSC community to discuss local and global internationalization from an administrative and strategic perspective, creates and shares best practices, and enhances UTSC’s capacity to engage internationally. It brings together leaders to explore emerging internationalization trends and developments including global engagement opportunities. The Committee will play an advisory role (non decision-making table) in support of UTSC’s international goals and aspirations.
Mandate

To create an institutional space for the advancement of local and global internationalization in line with Inspiring Inclusive Excellence: A Strategic Vision for the University of Toronto Scarborough (2020-2025), University of Toronto’s Three Priorities and international goals;

To offer a platform where members share ideas on internationalization initiatives at home at abroad, programs and services, including best practices aimed at enhancing the capacity of UTSC to engage internationally;

To facilitate campus coordination and information sharing on internationalization activities and global engagement opportunities related to the UTSC campus;

To offer advice on emerging internationalization-related developments at UTSC; and
-
To contribute to university-wide internationalization tools aimed at enhancing UTSC’s capacity to engage globally. This includes information regarding programs, initiatives, services, stories, events, data, guidelines, best practices, international partnership and funding opportunities, training for faculty, internationalization frameworks, among others. These resources improve existing and future services in support of strategic coordination of UTSC’s international and global engagement.
