2021-22 ELF Project: Theatre and Community Engagement

"The opportunity to learn and travel with ACM through their Experiential Learning course was nothing short of incredible. As a 4th year Theatre and Performance student, I feel like I’ve spent a lot of time during my degree learning about various aspects of theatre (theory, history, acting techniques etc.), but haven’t really had the opportunity to use those skills out in the ‘real world’. Experiential Learning provided me with the chance to use skills and knowledge I had learned not only in the weeks leading up to our trip but also throughout my degree. Additionally, the course provided a low-risk, high-reward setting for myself and my peers to be challenged. Though I cannot speak for any of my peers I can say that this opportunity has left me with both the tools and confidence to conduct field research in the future and also unforgettable memories."
