Please join us in welcoming our newest faculty to UTSC English!
Dr. SJ Sindu (Sinduja Sathiyaseelan) joins us as a professor in the Creative Writing program. Sindu is the multi-award-winning author of Marriage of a Thousand Lies, as well as works of poetry, short fiction, and creative nonfiction. She will be teaching ENGB61, ENGC87, and ENGD84 in Fall 2019, and ENGC08 in Winter 2020.
Dr. Urvashi Chakravarty works in the Early Modern period, with a research focus in race and slavery in Renaissance England. Her teaching areas include the global Early Modern, including questions of race, gender, and sexuality. Dr. Chakravarty will be teaching ENGB27 and ENGC35 in Fall 2019, and ENGB32 in Winter 2020.
