UTSC Writers Make Canada Reads Longlist

Congratulations to Andrew Westoll and Carrianne Leung

Congratulations to Professor Andrew Westoll and our new Writer in Residence, Carrianne Leung, for making the 2019 Canada Reads longlist!

In his book, "The Chimps of Fauna Sancutary," Professor Andrew Westoll recounts his time spent at the Fauna Sanctuary with 13 chimps rescued from a research lab. Professor Westoll shows us the chimps's immense capacity to heal and the bonds formed during recovery.

Carrianne Leungs' "That Time I Loved You" is a short story collection that depicts the intricate lives of the neighbourhood residents of Scarborough. It's a read close to our hearts and an ode to the community in which we live and experience.
