Embedded Counsellor for the English Department

Leah Erlich is the embedded counsellor in the English department. Every Tuesday from 2pm-3pm, Leah will be available here (click the link for a Microsoft Teams meeting) for consultation to students, staff, and faculty about mental health services on campus, booking appointments at Health and Wellness, managing situations in class, or any other counselling-related topic you have in mind!

Please note that this consultation time is not for clinical sessions, but that Leah can support you in setting up a counselling session if that is what is needed! To book a same-day phone or video appointment outside of Leah’s office hour call 416-287-7065 or email to schedule an appointment.

Leah Erlich (they/them/she/her) is a social worker who has been working with children, youth, young adults, and adults over the past 7 years. Leah's therapeutic approach is primarily informed by narrative therapy ideas as well as dialectical behaviour therapy and solution-focused therapy. She believes that we are each the expert in our own life and that sometimes our own expertise needs to be asked the right questions to become visible to us. Leah enjoys reading, video games, playing the saxophone, and hanging out with dogs and cats whenever possible.
