EDIO Events

In collaboration with campus and community partners, we host events and develop programs that promote inclusion and contribute to a sense of belonging for our diverse communities. Our goal is to support and provide opportunities that:  
  • create cultural change & remove structural barriers for our various communities, bearing in mind their experiences and intersecting identities 
  • support sustainable engagement for meaningful, lasting, and impactful change

Real Talks: Sing Me A Lullaby Documentary Screening & Discussion

Captured over 14 years across two continents, Sing Me a Lullaby is a Canadian short documentary film that documents Tiffany Hsiung's efforts to locate and reconnect with her mother's birth family in Taiwan, following her mother's separation from her parents and adoption in childhood. The screening of Sing Me A Lullaby will be followed by a discussion with the film's director.

Love & Liberation: Blueprints For A BIPOC Future Conference

Love and Liberation is a series of workshops and discussions that centre BIPOC student experiences as we develop concrete strategies for change within and between our communities. The conference will bring together community leaders, activists, and those engaged in practices of liberation who will invite students to deconstruct current realities while providing tools and resources for building an anti-racist future.
