The Department of Language Studies and the LSA are proud to bring you the 8th annual Scarborough Undergraduate Linguistics Conference (SULC). SULC is an opportunity for undergraduate students to engage with their peers and present findings from their current research projects. The 8th annual SULC will be taking place on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time) through a Zoom conference.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
ABSTRACT REQUIREMENTS

One (1) page abstract (300 words max.) per research project*. We accept submissions relating to any linguistics subfield, including phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, computational linguistics, historical linguistics, language acquisition, language variation, multilingualism, comparative analysis, etc.

*Maximum of one (1) sole author and one (1) co-authored project per person. We accept both in-progress and completed research.

PRIZES

  • Cash prizes for Top 3 presentations!
  • Certificate awards for each participating student researcher.

  • Must be sent in via E-MAIL as attachments in MS Word or PDF format to linguisticsclub.utsc@gmail.com by 11:59 PM, January 23rd, 2021.
