Biography

Renee Rui Wang holds a Ph.D. in Chinese Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Beijing Language and Culture University, a M.A. in Applied Linguistics, and a second M.A. in East Asian studies. She teaches Chinese language, English/Chinese translation theory and practice, linguistic comparison between English and Chinese. She has also taught a variety of courses on Chinese history and culture.  

She has published a book, The Acquisition of Chinese Lexicon by Second Language Learners (2018), and co-authored four Chinese language textbooks.

Research Interests

The acquisition of Chinese as a second language, Chinese language pedagogy, language curriculum development and bilingual textbook compilation.
