Hello everyone. My name is Shruti Anandan and I will be pursuing my Co-op with Aga Khan University in Nairobi, Kenya. I will be working as a Research Assistant for the Network of Teaching and Learning (TL) and Quality Assurance and Improvement (QAI). My duties will include conducting literature reviews on best practices for educational professional development, organising faculty development workshops and monitoring and data collection. I am the recipient of the Frank Faubert Scholarship and my aim during this co-op is to explore the potential for education in development. I hope to translate my classroom knowledge into practical skills. I aim at understanding various aspects of community development and learn what development looks like in a practical setting. Through my internship, I hope to write a thesis that positively contributes towards providing a better understanding on the topic that I choose to explore. I look forward to having an internship that is as much about learning as it is about contributing.
