Hi Friends!
My name is Becca and in about a week I will be leaving Canada to work for Child Rights International in Accra, Ghana for 12 months as a Youth Engagement Officer.
I chose this placement because I have always been passionate about children and education. This opportunity feels like an amazing chance to be able to learn about another culture, while getting to work in this field that I love and study; international development.
My job description thus far hasn't given me too many specifics on what I will be responsible for in Accra, but I am looking forward to participating in and viewing development work from a new perspective, and I am sure it will be a meaningful experience.
