Oussama Nazih in the Dominican Republic

Oussama

Qué lo qué, mi gente! I’m Oussama and I’ll be heading over to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic for an 8-month placement.  Over there, I’ll be working with World Vision as a Research Intern to help develop studies and relevant documentation related to the monitoring and evaluation of their Child Protection projects on the island. I hope to carry out research on race, racism and identity politics and their effects on Haitian descendants. However, this might change over time as I delve into the topic. I am really thankful for the SKF Canada Limited scholarship and World Vision for allowing to fund this amazing experience! I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and am looking forward to learning from the people I meet there as I discover what the Dominican Republic has to offer!
