Michael Kessler holds the Raymond Pryke Chair and is the Director of the Margaret MacMillan Trinity One Program. In addition to directing Trinity One, Dr. Kessler is an Assistant Professor in Trinity College’s Ethics, Society & Law program. Since 2019 Dr. Kessler has been directing a new project at Trinity College called the Sustainable Food Systems Research Group. Dr. Kessler’s research interests lie at the intersection of moral, political and legal philosophy.  He has recently published on freedom of expression, the morality of punishing children as adults, and the political value of public goods. He is currently working on a project on food security and social justice.
