The Centre for Earth System Science (CRESS) Mentorship Program

Julian Lowman
Good communication between students and faculty is key to successful educational outcomes that give students the right preparation for a career as professionals or as continuing students at the graduate level. Students need to make the right choices early in their programs and need access to information regarding course selections and alternatives, postgraduate employment opportunities, field camps, and research opportunities with  faculty.

Included in its list of ongoing initiatives, CRESS provides a mentorship program to foster informal interaction between undergraduate students, and faculty within the Department of Physical and Environmental Science (DPES). Students are encouraged to contact a professor from the list of faculty participating in the scheme (posted on this page). Additional contact details and research specialties and interests are listed in the DPES faculty list pages. The mentorship program is entirely informal, and participation is entirely voluntary.
