Research Interests
Some pathogenic bacteria can enter and replicate inside mammalian cells. These invasive pathogens developed molecular tool kits to hijack pathways in their host-cell in order to sustain its intracellular replication and cause disease. Our laboratory investigates the cellular mechanisms altered by the pathogens Salmonella and Legionella pneumophila in epithelial and immune cells.
