Association of Mathematics and Computer Science Students (AMACSS)

AMACSS is the Departmental Student Association (DSA) for all mathematics, computer science, and statistics students at the University of Toronto Scarborough.

The goal of AMACSS is to foster a collective vision and purpose among all program students in Computer and Mathematical Sciences at UTSC. AMACSS serves as a comprehensive resource for students in Computer and Mathematical Sciences who need assistance and guidance with their education, and in addition, acts as a voice for the administration, faculty, and other student organizations where appropriate.

The Math and Statistics Learning Centre (MSLC) provides free seminars, workshops, virtual tutoring, individual appointments, and small-group consultations to improve students proficiency in various subjects of mathematics and statistics. Our main goal is to create a vibrant environment in which students appreciate the beauty of mathematics, rather than considering it as a burden in their academic life.

The University of Toronto Scarborough prides itself on being an accessible campus. AccessAbility Services on campus is dedicated to ensuring that students with disabilities are able to freely and actively participate in all facets of University Life.



Whether there is a need for web development, networking, e-mail, computer clusters or many other IT related issues, Informational & Instructional Technological Services contains a group of individuals with impressive expertise to meet those needs. With a vast number of services for students, staff and faculty, IITS ensures individuals on campus are up to date with current technology. Furthermore, with over 15 computer labs, including 3 lab equipped with Apple MAC computers, students are able to stay connected and work on academic projects.



Whether you are looking for quiet study space or conducting research the Library contains a group of talented individuals to find exactly what you are looking for. The Library also handles T-Card services, course reserves, and exams and course collections.

With highly valuable services such as English Language Development and the Writing Centre, Teaching and Learning Services enables students to meet their academic potential and even exceed academic expectations. Visit CTL to learn more about the many services offered. CTL also provides hands on teaching for students in need of extra help in their Math and Statistics courses.


Student Housing & Residence

Residence Life at the University of Toronto Scarborough is the designed to merge both living and learning experiences. The student residence community provides a close knit family to share your experiences with. Surrounded by natural forests and in close proximity to the academic buildings the 114 town houses and 55 apartments provide the ideal residence experience.



With its professional printing, photocopying, finishing and special services, CopyKats is the exactly what students need to meet both academic and personal needs. With accessible photocopiers and the opportunity to order specialty products (T-shirts, mouse pads etc.) this on- campus copy centre has something for everyone.

The Women's Centre is focused on improving the condition and status of women at the University of Toronto Scarborough. It is a safe and comfortable environment for women to talk about various issues or simply relax. The Women’s Centre also hosts many exciting events and seminars on everything from sexual health to kick boxing.

Co-op Students Association

The CSA is a student association designed around organizing and implementing events, providing all necessary resources and acting as a unified voice on behalf of all Co-op student at the University of Toronto Scarborough.

UTSC Althetics


The Department of Physical Education and Athletics offers services which help students maintain a healthy lifestyle, with a balance between academic studies and personal life.  Students can make use of group fitness, instructional and personal training classes or simply use the state-of-the-art cardio theatre, cyclefit room, double gymnasium and The Key™, a strength and conditioning room, according to their individual schedules.  The Athletics Department also offers personal training with Certified Fitness Consultants.


Scarborough Campus Student’s Union (SCSU)

The SCSU is the official representative body of all undergraduate students at the University of Toronto Scarborough.  The SCSU is committed to enriching the university experience of all undergraduates by addressing student needs and interests and in turn delivering services that meet those needs, including club funding, discount TTC Metropasses and the anti-calendar.  The SCSU advocates on behalf of students on such issues as the cost of education, campus safety, and academic standards.  The SCSU allows students to get involved by helping out at events such as the Cultural Mosaic or being a part of the Volunteer Network Program (VNP).  In addition, students are encouraged to run for positions in SCSU annual democratic elections.


Student Affairs

Student Affairs is run by a number of individuals devoted to enriching the intellectual and personal development of students within a community based on principles of mutual respect and inclusion.  Services offered include the Leadership Development Program, Student Mentorship Program and the Passport Program.

The Hub

Based on the first floor of the Instructional Centre, the primary mission of The Hub is to help University of Toronto Scarborough students design and launch successful, highly scalable businesses in the Eastern GTA (Greater Toronto Area).


I-CUBE is the business accelerator at the Institute for Management & Innovation, University of Toronto Mississauga. I-CUBE offers students and community youth early-stage business development & commercialization services including an entrepreneurial curriculum, business advisory services, collaborative space, expert speaker sessions, and a mentorship program.


Created by the UofT Department of Computer Science, one of the top 10 computer science programs in the world, the Innovation Lab is positioned to assist and inspire entrepreneurial- and intrapreneurial-minded students, researchers, and startups to leverage the academic and research environment to create innovation through software.
