Biography

Dr. Amy Bilton is an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Toronto and Associate Director of the Center for Global Engineering. She heads the Water and Energy Research Laboratory and her group develops computer-based design approaches for water and energy systems, and also develops innovative prototype concepts. This work includes development of renewable powered systems to improve water quality for fish aquaculture and smart irrigation technologies for the developing world. Her group conducts research with communities in Mexico, Nicaragua, Ghana, Bangladesh, and Vietnam to help address water challenges related to domestic use and agriculture.
