Hosted at Deer Creek, “The Jewel” of Durham Region, this offering is a collective effort of UTSC’s leaders, staff, faculty, alumni, and many community and corporate friends.

Funds from this event support Indigenous House, an important and much-needed step forward on the path to Reconciliation and the most highly visible hub by which Indigeneity will extend across the UTSC campus.

Come out early to warm up on the driving range and putting green. Enjoy a light breakfast before heading out on the greens, where you will enjoy a championship course, among the best of Ontario’s elite public golf courses, along with some fun contests. Then, end the day with a cocktail reception, prizes, raffles and bid on an exciting online auction.

NEW  YOGA IN THE GARDEN

Not a golfer and still want to participate?

This year we didn’t want to leave anyone out. Join us for a one-hour yoga class with UTSC alum and Registered Yoga Teacher Naraindra Prashad (BA UTSC 82) on the circular interlock courtyard at Deer Creek’s Victorian-inspired gazebo, beautifully framed by lush gardens with a view of the pond.

Enter your mid-day escape with a healthy shot and treat to prepare for your yoga class. Then, join our reception with the golfers and sponsors and take home your very own UTSC yoga mat. Class begins at 2:00 pm.

Package price: $75

LEARN TO GOLF [SOLD OUT]

Don’t know how to golf and still want to participate?

Join us for our Learn to Golf session. You will start your day with a 2-hour lesson from one of Deer Creek’s incredible Golf pros. Then, test your new stance and swinging skills with a nine-hole round.

This is a great way to still get out on the greens and learn a thing or two.

UTSC’s new Indigenous House will be dedicated to learning about Indigenous cultures and Ways of Knowing.

rendering of Indigenous House

Following years of concerted collaboration with Indigenous Elders and community members, Indigenous House at UTSC will open its doors in fall 2023. Steeped in Indigenous Ways of Knowing and designed using the latest sustainable technology, the space will honour the lands, traditions and knowledge systems of the Peoples on whose traditional territory the UTSC campus is located.

The design of the building draws on a traditional winter wigwam and its large gathering room will open into a garden including plants with cultural significance to local Indigenous communities. It will be a gathering space to support intercultural dialogue and learning, while helping foster partnership and reconciliation as part of UTSC’s strategic plan, Inspiring Inclusive Excellence.
