Program summary

Psycholinguistics examines the relationship between language and the human psyche. The program helps students to understand language components such as speech (sounds, phonetics and phonology), morphology of words, sentences (meanings, syntax and semantics, and the discourse of texts or conversations.

Students with a particular interest in psycholinguistics can enroll in the Specialist Program in Psycholinguistics which provides excellent preparation for entry into postgraduate programs in speech/language pathology, psycholinguistics and education.
