Program summary

At U of T Scarborough, we offer Mathematics programs for students with a broad range of interests, graduate plans and career aspirations. Students will be able to develop a thorough understanding of the foundational principles of Mathematics, and will also learn more about its relationships with other sciences. With depth and rigor, mathematics provides an outstanding foundation for further study in any area of academic inquiry, and myriad possible career paths, including, for example, engineering, finance, biotechnology, telecommunications and information technology.

The Specialist programs in Mathematics includes the Comprehensive, Statistics, and Teaching streams. The programs are best suited for students who are interested in becoming educators, analysts, actuaries, statisticians or software engineers. Please note: Mathematics is a first-year entry program; if you have completed any postsecondary studies, you are not eligible for admission.

 

Interested in becoming a teacher? This program offers a combined degree option where you'll receive advanced admission to U of T's Master of Teaching program. You'll apply to the Master of Teaching combined degree option during your studies at U of T Scarborough.
